Lois was born April 18,1927 to Harry and Sara (Factor) Slavin, the fifth of six daughters. A graduate of Fairview High School, she attended the University of Dayton. On June 3, 1951, she married Daniel Schild. Lois loved art and was known throughout the Jewish community for providing decorations for many philanthropic causes and family events, particularly with the help of her sister, Louise. She received multiple awards at juried art fairs for her work in watercolor, oil, and pottery.
