CuRAYtor is home to the Ray Reiss art collection. Expanding the definition of “good art”, the 3,000+ pieces of CurRAYtor come all the way from auction houses to rural thrift stores to bring you an eclectic collection of Alternative, Outsider, and Novice artworks. The collection spans from the work of the great outsider artists such as Lee Godie to Chicago contemporary artists Tony Fitzpatrick and Hollis Sigler to 70s paint by number and amateur pottery. Our goal in bringing this collection to the public through this website and public programming is to provide people from all walks of life access to this massive collection of unsung artists.
